Meet Our Team
Dyan grew up in Tennessee, but has lived in England, Germany and Hawaii. Her previous experience includes working for Emerald Coast Hospice as a hospice specialist, executive director at Summer Vista, and banking, where she held several positions including, corporate recruiter, commercial real estate lender, and Vice President, managing all aspects of two bank branches.
Dyan has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management from Florida International University. She is also an Air Force veteran. She has a passion for working with seniors, hearing their life stories, and hopes to have a positive impact on how they spend the last years of their lives.
When she is not working, she enjoys time with her family. Her interests outside of work and family, include travel, photography and reading. She is an advocate for advances in dementia research and holds an interest in wildlife protection. Dyan also supports the Alzheimer’s Association, Save the Manatee Club, and Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge.
Director of Sales
Paula first joined The Blake team in October 2018 and is now Director of Sales for The Blake at Pensacola. She loves being able to help so many families find a new home for their loved ones.
Ms. Dorsey has a passion for helping families transition into senior living and making sure residents have the best possible experience. Her background includes over 20 years of experience in real estate sales and marketing, management and developing and implementing processes to ensure a high level of satisfaction with families. Her passion is for resident care and helping create a beautiful community experience for our residents that feels like home.
Assistant Director of Sales
Heather is originally from Newnan, GA. She received a Bachelor of Science from Toccoa Falls College. Previously, she worked for a nonprofit in Atlanta that placed sex-trafficking victims in long-term rehab programs. She has also worked at various boutiques and farms.
Heather’s joy comes from loving God by loving others, especially our residents. She also appreciates the opportunity to learn from them. She is consistently challenged to serve in greater ways by her fellow co-workers, who are selfless, genuine individuals.
When she is not at The Blake, she enjoys taking walks with her husband and dog, watching football and documentaries on American history, and spending time with family — especially her nieces and nephews! Both, she and her husband attend the Cross Church.
Director of Business Operations
Steve is originally from Milton, Florida, but his career in the United States Navy has taken him all over the world. He is now settled back home and works as the Director of Business Operations for The Blake at Pensacola. Aside from his extensive military career, Steve also gained experience as a business owner and also served as an executive director in the senior living industry. He enjoys providing superior care to our residents and their families, as well as giving back to our community. Steve enjoys the challenge of finding new ways to improve systems and providing superior service. When not at work, Steve serves as a volunteer at the local food bank as a caregiver for a senior member of his family, and providing counseling services for others in need.
Director of Activities
Charline first called Pensacola home in 1997. She has taught adult education, became a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) and then a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.). In 2016, she began to pursue her love for the elderly and first joined The Blake at Pensacola as the Assisted Director of Activities for the weekends. She was promoted and now serves as the Director of Activities at The Blake at Pensacola. She believes it is her pleasure to serve this community.
Dee Dee Malone
Walk With Me Coordinator
Dee Dee serves as our Walk with me Coordinator. She is originally from Pensacola, FL and has been a Med Tech/Resident Aide since 2012.
Her favorite part of working with seniors is that they have many stories to tell and they are full of wisdom. She truly enjoys working at The Blake and gets to connect with a wide variety of people from different background and different life experiences.
When Dee Dee is not working, she enjoys time with family, travel and karaoke. She considers herself to be a very genuine, compassionate and caring person. She says, “anything I can do to help, I will”.
Director of Dining Services
Robert serves as our Director of Dining Services He is originally from Biloxi, MS and has 37 years of experience as an Executive Chef.
His favorite part of working with seniors is providing them with an enjoyable dining experience. Robert loves working at The Blake because the management staff has the same goal to provide a safe, caring atmosphere for our residents.
When Robert is not working, he likes to travel and eat with his family.
Director of Facility Management
He loves being a part of the Blake team and enjoys enhancing the life of the residents. His favorite park of working with seniors is getting know them and learn from the history they have lived.
He is married to his wife, Lori, and they have 3 children – Adam, Kaelie, and Collin. They also have a granddaughter named Nola and 2 nephews and 2 nieces that they feel blessed to raise since 2013. When not working, Patrick enjoys kayaking with his family, being outside and spending time at the beach.
