Dear Residents, Families and Staff:
As our nation, state and local community cope with the coronavirus pandemic, we wish to provide you with this important update regarding The Blake at Kingsport.
We were informed today that a staff member of The Blake at Kingsport has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member has not been in the community since July 7, 2020. No residents or other staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 at this time.
We share this information with you because we believe it is beneficial for everyone’s health and well-being to keep our residents, families, and staff fully informed.
We are in regular contact with state and local health departments and continue to operate by the highest standards of safety, and in full compliance with guidance from the Tennessee Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
We are taking to several precautions to protect our residents and staff, and to help limit the spread of this virus. Staff members and essential medical personnel are required to be screened and put on a mask prior to entering our community. We also continue to restrict visitors and non-essential personnel in accordance with the regulations set forth by the State of Tennessee.
We are committed to minimizing the risk to our residents and staff, while remaining true to our core values of joy and compassion. This week, residents are participating in “Vacation Bible Study” put on by our activities team. We encourage you to schedule a parking lot visit with your loved ones or reach out to our team for assistance connecting you by virtual chat.
