4/21/20 Update from Executive Director Nicole Briggs

Apr 21, 2020 | COVID-TBAK, Kingsport

An Update from The Blake at Kingsport

We’re happy to report that while we are practicing physical distancing and expanded infection control protocols, engagement and joy are still a part of life at The Blake. Last week, we celebrated Team Spirit Week. Team members dressed up to a different theme each day including Tacky Tourist, Favorite Decades, Crazy Socks and Pajama Day! We encourage you to visit our Facebook Page for photos.

We are also pleased to report that we have had no positive COVID-19 test results for residents or staff at The Blake at Kingsport.

We continue to follow CDC and Tennessee Department of Health guidelines by restricting visitors and non-essential personnel, practicing social distancing, practicing handwashing, and daily monitoring of staff for fever or illness. We will continue to actively monitor residents for fever and respiratory symptoms twice a day. Staff members and essential visitors are required to wash their hands upon entry into the building. Our staff members continue to wear masks while on duty. We have reinforced to our staff that anyone who is sick should stay home.

We understand the importance of close communication between our team, families and health care partners and will continue to post and share updates at www.qslmanagement.com/tbak-covid. Please contact me at (423) 246-1100 if you have any questions or concerns.

We cannot thank you enough for your support, kind words and continued encouragement during these unprecedented times.

Thank You,

Nicole Briggs

Executive Director
