We know many community members are concerned about the spread of COVID-19 and how it may impact The Blake. Ensuring residents, guests and our team members at all Blake communities are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our priority. We employ a team of world-class healthcare professionals who are experienced at handling and preventing outbreaks and are in close contact with The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and our local and state Departments of Health.
Based on the CDC’s recommendations, we are implementing several steps to reduce the potential for the virus to enter our buildings. Out of an abundance of caution, we are limiting all social visits and are screening anyone, including staff, who needs to enter the building. In addition, we have enhanced our cleaning procedures, increased the availability of hand sanitizer and continue to educate residents and team members on effective hand washing and infection control protocols.
We understand the importance of social engagement and allowing residents to continue to connect with their loved ones. We are encouraging the use of video chat through our social connection programs which include HeartLegacy and iN2L.
